Terms of Service

Effective October 8, 2026

These terms cover the website design, hosting and maintenance services provided by CSK Sites ("we," "us"), a family-owned business based in Texas. By purchasing a plan or using our services, you agree to these terms. We've tried to keep them plain and fair.

1. Free previews

We may build a free preview of a new website for your business. Previews are free and come with no obligation. They're hosted at private links hidden from search engines, and we'll remove a preview if you ask, or after 60 days if you decide not to move forward. Your business name, logo, photos and other content remain yours. The preview design remains ours until you purchase a plan.

2. Plans and payment

• Done for you: a one-time setup fee of $497, then $97 per month. Includes hosting, SSL and small edits (see section 3). Monthly fees are billed in advance.
• Own it: a one-time fee of $1,497. Includes the full website build and installation on a hosting account in your name. Changes after launch are $75 per change request.

Setup and Own it fees are due before we begin your full build. Payments are processed securely by Stripe. If we ever change our monthly price, we'll give existing customers at least 30 days' notice.

3. Small edits

"Small edits" are updates to your existing site, such as changing text, photos, hours, prices, contact details or making minor layout tweaks. New pages, new features or a redesign are larger projects. We'll quote those separately, and nothing is charged without your approval. We aim to complete small edits within two business days.

4. Cancelling the monthly plan

The Done for you plan is month-to-month. You can cancel anytime by emailing us, with no cancellation fee. Your cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. After that, we'll take the site offline, or you can choose to buy it outright under the Own it plan.

5. Your domain and email

Your domain name and email accounts always stay in your name and under your control. When we launch your site, we may need access to your domain settings. We preserve your existing email settings during any switch. We aren't responsible for problems caused by third-party services we don't control, such as domain registrars or email providers.

6. Your content

You confirm that you have the right to use any content you give us, such as logos, photos and text. You keep ownership of your content and give us permission to use it to build, host and maintain your website.

7. Who owns the website

• Own it: once paid in full, you own the website files we deliver for your business.
• Done for you: we own the website's code and design and license it to you for as long as your plan is active.

In both cases, we may reuse our general layouts, code and techniques on other projects, but never your content or branding.

8. Showing our work

We may show your finished website as an example of our work. If you'd rather we didn't, just tell us.

9. Hosting and availability

We use reputable hosting providers and work to keep your site online and fast, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted service.

10. Search results

We follow good practices to protect your search rankings, such as keeping existing page addresses and redirecting old pages. However, search engines decide rankings, so no one can guarantee specific rankings, traffic or results.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim related to our services is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim. We aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or lost business.

12. Ending service

We may pause or end service for non-payment (after giving you notice), or if a site is used for anything illegal or harmful.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas.

14. Changes to these terms

If we update these terms, we'll post the new version here with a new effective date. Changes won't apply retroactively to payments you've already made.
